Welcome

Our Bible Classes

In Ephesians 4:11-12, the Apostle Paul said, “And He gave some as Apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ.” In order to equip the saints and build up the body of Christ, we believe that is important to teach the Bible. Therefore, we offer Bible classes for all ages. In each Bible class, you will find experienced and qualified teachers who strive to impart wisdom and knowledge to every student. God’s Word is the only authority for our lives. Therefore, it is important that we study the Bible, know the Bible, and teach the Bible. All are invited to attend any and all of our Bible Classes.

James 4:8 states, “Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” I challenge you to “draw near to God,” by attending the Sunday and Wednesday Bible classes that the elders have prepared for you. Make studying God’s Word a priority in your life in 2016. Many times in the past we have been asked, “Why do you attend Bible classes on Sunday morning and Wednesday night?” Let me share five reasons that I have given for attending Bible classes with those who ask.

I ATTEND BIBLE CLASSES:

Because I love the Lord and His Word. I want to study the Bible and learn all I can about the One I love and serve. Bible study is a great place to learn more about God. The more I know about God, the more I love Him. John 17:3 states, “This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.”

Because I want to be able to live the best life possible. Bible classes can open the door to a richer spiritual life. I can learn how to improve my spiritual life and come in contact with the rich treasures that Bible studies offer. Peter writes in 2 Peter 3:18, “But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.”

Because I enjoy the interaction I gain from brothers and sisters. Bible classes offer an opportunity to develop close relationships with our peers. I can learn so much from others in the Bible class. The wise man, Solomon, writes in Proverbs 27:17, “As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend.”

Because I want to set an example before others. I want my children to see and know that the church is important. I want them to know that God and Christ are important in my life. I do not want my children to be lost because I have neglected my responsibilities. I do not want to be a stumbling block or an excuse for some other Christian. I do not want them to point to me as the reason why they quit coming to Bible classes. Hosea 4:6 states, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.”

Because I believe God wants me to attend Bible classes. I believe Bible classes are a good work. Bible classes can bring us closer to God, and Bible classes can bring God closer to us. Titus 3:1 tells us, “Be ready for every good work.”
